Ocugen

 Ocugen is a Biotech company based in Philadelphia who came to us with an extensive rebrand and web design. We went through a heavy amount of information and how to properly break out and reroute their audience to their website and keep them there. This was a long and detailed project that ended in a complete logo restructuring, a brand new website, and a new brand guide.

Logo ReDesign

Upon analyzing how the previous Ocugen logo was used, my team and I found that the eye icon felt a bit too harsh and robotic, and the gradient inside it was hard to mimic throughout mediums and keep constant. We instead made their eye feature fit and work with the entire logo text to give a more welcoming, whole and health forward feel. We also brought in a deeper blue and green to combine their original colors but with added effect. The darker blue brings in more sophistication and the greens around work as a flow of education and health.

Brand Guide

Ocugen had no brand guide until this point, so we were not only building out their website and logo but also creating new rules and emphasizing some current, unwritten ones. This guide was to stay simple and understandable for the data analyzers working on their presentations and so on while including a clear rule book on what pictures best show their company’s identity. We also found and designed custom icons for them to use throughout the website and as watermarks on certain documents that applied. These are just a few slides from the complete brand guide.

Web Design

After an extensive breakdown of Ocugen’s information, we were able to create a more organized, easily navigated, and unified website. This one prioritized larger, readable text for their visually impaired audience and broken down designed charts that keep the reader’s interest while giving clear visuals on the progress of their clinical tests and stocks. Through found imagery and understanding their core message, we were able to create a far more welcoming and smart but also compassionate virtual experience.
